You didn't compare them to the X-Men AKA The chronicles of wolverine?
What'd you think of it?
I would've loved to see more Colossus.
The new Batman franchise seems to be the best translation so far IMO.
Spiderman was kinda cheesy.
The Hulk looks kinda meh in my opinion, I didn't want to give 2 hours of my life to that thing.
The new Watchmen movie looks pretty awesome though, judging by the trailers.
I've always liked Marvel, but DC seems to be doing a better job of translating their characters to the movies.
Batman has been great since Batman Begins.
Spider-Man was kinda cheesy, but you know... for the most part, that character has always been a little bit cheesy. Putting aside certain interpretations, the core of that character is a bumbling, clumsy high-school student. So, the movies worked on that level, I think.
The Watchmen looks like it will be pretty great. I recently read the graphic novel, it's quite a story.
I have to disagree on the DC vs. Marvel in the movies thing... I think DC rules as far as television cartoons - Superman, Batman and Justice League were all A+. Marvel's cartoons have been pretty substandard. But the movies... Marvel's got Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man and Hulk, while DC can only claim the new Batman franchise as being worth watching (I'm talking the modern era here, from the late 90's on up). DC needs to step up to the plate with a Superman reboot and get Wonder Woman off the ground, then maybe I'll have a different opinion ;)
